Community Guidelines

Last updated: April 7, 2026

The Katanx Community operates under a strict principle of high signal, high respect. Whether you are interacting in The Stream, engaging in deep analysis on the Forums, or reviewing a Studio class, these guidelines dictate the operational ethos.

The Code of Engagement

1. Criticize the Form, Respect the Practitioner

Rigorous technical debate is the lifeblood of progress in performance arts and combatives. However, ad hominem attacks, stylistic chauvinism, or disrespect toward a practitioner's background will result in immediate suppression of your account's visibility (shadow-routing), followed by permanent expulsion.

2. Prove Your Work

If you are making structural claims regarding a technique, training methodology, or physical modality, you must be prepared to back it up via your training log, a video artifact in The Stream, or demonstrable experience. Armchair analysis without skin in the game is classified as noise.

3. Maintain the Signal

Do not flood the Forums or The Stream with off-topic cultural warfare, meme spam, or irrelevant political discourse. There are thousands of other platforms optimized for generalized arguing. Katanx is optimized for the work.

The Trust and Moderation System

Our moderation relies on a hybrid of algorithmic scoring (The Wire's trust graph) and human specialists. Accounts that consistently generate high-quality interactions are granted expanded signaling weight. Accounts that act maliciously are programmatically isolated.
